Robert Terranova Colwell, 83, of Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 in California.
Funeral services will be 11am, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island with military honors by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 299.
Son of George A. Terranova of Brooklyn, NY and son of Violet Colwell.
Robert graduated in 1955 from New Utrech High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at 19 years old. After his return to Brooklyn, Robert received his Real Estate Brokers License from State of New York, Department of New York in 1963 and worked in Real Estate for years. At 23 years old, Robert married Linda Wright and seven years later moved to Oregon with two boys and later a daughter. In 1970, Robert received his Associate in Applied Science from Clark College, Vancouver, WA. Between 1986-1987, he attended Suny College of Environment Science and Forestry, Syracuse, NY.
Robert was employed as a Draftsman for seven years for the City of Portland. Robert moved to Anchorage, Alaska for the government as an assistant engineer. After being alone for seven years, he married Flavia Mappala from the Philippines with four children. In Anchorage, Robert retired from JC Penney.
In 2007, Robert purchased a townhouse in Moline, IL and retired there with his wife joining him later. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2020.
