Funeral services for Mrs. William Schnoor, 70, were held at 1 p.m. Feb. 24 at Davenport.

Burial was held at Allen's Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Schnoor died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 21, due to a heart attack.

Born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Anna C. Dierksen came to the United States with her parents as an infant. She lived south of Dixon with her family until her marriage to Mr. Schnoor in Davenport Feb. 20, 1908.

The couple farmed near Donahue for 36 years until their retirement in 1944 when they moved to Davenport. Mr. and Mrs. Schnoor celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary Feb. 20.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Erma) Dethlefsen, Chappell, Neb.; 6 sons, Harvey and Louis, Donahue, Elmer, Eldridge and John, Durant, Raymond, Grand Island, Neb., and Herbert, DeWitt; a brother, August Dierksen, Dixon; a sister, Mrs. John (Clara) Hochmuth, Davenport; 4 great-grandchildren; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers.
