Ferdinand Moeller, 70, of Durant died Jan. 26 in the Wilton Nursing Home following a 7-month illness.

Born in Scott county, he married Hilda Dietz, Nov. 24, 1909, in Davenport. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Walcott and later north of Stockton. They retired in 1956 and moved to Durant where Mr. Moeller served as a councilman until early this year. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1959.

Survivors include his wife, 4 daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Bernetta) Puck, Walcott; Mrs. Helmuth (Florence) Stahnke, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Willard (Gladys) Wells, Durant, and Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Erps, DeWitt; 4 sons, Marvin H. and Arthur J., both at home, Lloyd F., Davenport and Dorwin, Durant; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Willie, Davenport and 3 sisters, Mrs. Theresa Hein and Mrs. Louis Jepsen, both of Davenport and Mrs. George Reissen, Walcott. A son, a granddaughter and 2 sisters preceded him in death.

Services were Jan. 30 in Davenport. Burial was in the Walcott Cemetery.
