Yesterday at noon occurred the death of F. W. Meetz, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Neuman [sic-Meumann] on the Rockingham road.
Mr. Meetz was an old resident of Davenport and had a great many friends, who will be so saddened at the news of his death. The deceased was 78 years of age; and the cause of his death was old age. The funeral will take place from his daughter's residence, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in the city cemetery.
