Fred Lemm died last evening at 8 o'clock at his home, 1901 Rockingham road at the age of 59 years and 10 months. The deceased was born September 24, 1846 at Kuhsdorf, Germany and came to America and directly to Davenport in 1883. Here he worked for the Mueller Lumber Co. for eight years, and was then in the employment of the Lindsay and Phelps company for several years. Since then he has been conducting the saloon at Howell street and Rockingham road for 13 years.
Besides his wife, Mrs Louise Lemm, there are surviving the deceased, a son, Herman, two grandchildren, and two brothers, Herman and John, who live in Germany.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, with interment in Fairmount cemetery.
