Mrs. Henry Carstens, 46, of Durant, died Thursday in Mercy hospital, Davenport. She had been ill for three weeks.

The former Mary Francis Creech was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Clarksville, Mo. She was married to Mr. Carstens March 24, 1928 in St. Mark Lutheran church, Davenport. The couple lived in Davenport until 1954 when they moved to Durant. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, Davenport.

Surviving is her husband, who is co-owner of the New Liberty sales barn; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Revelle and Mrs. Dorance Faley, both of Davenport; three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Ida Creech, Davenport; five brothers, Virgil and Russell, both of Davenport; Clarence of Shelbina, Mo.; George, Eldon; and Charles, Ottumwa, and five sisters, Mrs. Frank Osborn, Kirksville, Mo.; Mrs. Joe Emery, Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Carl Neuman, Mrs. Wilbur Lusso, and Mrs. Fred Russell, all of Davenport.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Runge chapel in Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial park.
