Mrs. Wm. Ochsner Dies 5 Days After Her Sister's Death

Mrs. William Ochsner, 74, a life resident of Buffalo, died at 11:15 p.m. Friday in Mercy hospital, just five days after the death of her sister, Mrs. Louis Ochsner, also a life resident of the Buffalo vicinity. They had married brothers. In both instances death occurred after lingering illnesses.

Mrs. Ochsner, the former Amelie Rauch, daughter of Valentine and Mary Rauch, was born in Buffalo, Oct. 14, 1873, and was married to Mr. Ochsner there Feb. 27, 1896. She had been active in affairs of the Lutheran church of Buffalo, and at the time of her death was president of the Ladies' Aid society. In addition to the sister who died recently, two other sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Burl Trager [sic] and Mrs. Claude Neumeister, both of Buffalo; a sister, Mrs. P. A. Gold, also of Buffalo; five brothers, Louis and Clarence Rauch, both of Davenport, and George, Carl and Harry Rauch, all of Buffalo; two grandchildren, Mrs. Loris Kelso, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Earl Neumeister, Buffalo, and one great-grandchild.

The body was removed to Runge mortuary, and later today was returned to the family home. Friends may call there until noon Monday, at which time the body will be taken to the Lutheran church, Buffalo, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery there.
