Jesse Lee Doty, aged 71 years, a brother of Mrs. Alva Brink, died in his home in Davenport on Wednesday, March 19, following a stroke. He had worked the day before being a maintenance man for the Iowa State Highway commission.

He was born Jan. 26, 1876, the son of Hiram and Caroline Doty. On March 11, 1916, he married Cora Belle Kinsley of Long Grove where they lived until moving to Davenport.

Mr. Doty was a member of the First Christian church; Fraternal lodge No. 221, A.F. & A. M.; Mohassan Grotto; Spanish American War Veterans and Oriental White Shrine of Jerusalem, No. 7.

Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Katherine E. Doty, at home; three sons, Donald, at home, Robert of Cedar Rapids, and James, now serving in the army; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Brink of Clarence, and Mrs. Katherine Dudley, Los Angeles; and two brothers, Howard Doty, Kennan, Wis., and Professor Hiram Doty, of Indianola, Iowa.
