The Davenport (IA) Democrat and Leader; Monday Evening, January 7, 1924:

Mrs. Bridget McKinney, 59 years of age, passed away at Mercy hospital at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon. She was born in Davenport March 2, 1864 and is survived by one son, Robert, and four sisters: Misses Theresa and Belle Martin of Des Moines, and Misses Frances and Rose Martin of Davenport. One brother, George Martin of Davenport also survives.

The remains were taken to the Fred N. Ruhl Funeral home, and will be taken to the home of the sister, Rose, at 2660 Main street late this afternoon. Funeral services will be held from there Tuesday morning at 8:30 o’clock to St. Paul the Apostle’s church at 9 o’clock. Interment will be made in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.

Pallbearers at the Mrs. Bridget McKinney funeral services held this morning were Stephen Phelan, Thomas Martin, Edward Maher, Ellis Cronkleton, Philip Allen and George Hirl.

Services were held at 8:30 o’clock from the home of the sister, Miss Rose Martin, 2660 Main street, with 9 o’clock services at St. Paul the Apostle church. Rev. C. J. Donahue celebrated requiem high mass, pronounced the burial absolution and preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made in St. Marquerite’s cemetery.
