Mr. H. H. Tiedemann died Monday at 7 p.m., after a long illness, at his residence 921 West Seventh street.

Mr. Tiedemann was born in Schleswig Holstein in 1822 and was 71 years and 9 months old. He came to the United States in 1849, locating first in Wisconsin and coming thence to Davenport in 1852.

In 1854 he married Miss Margaret Goldschmidt. Of the eight children born to them, only two survive. Mr. Tiedemann was a shoemaker and carried on a successful business here for years, although he retired from it several years ago.

The funeral will take place from the family residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Oakdale cemetery.
