Hirl -- Yesterday afternoon at the home in Lincoln township occurred the death of Susanna Hirl, wife of Neil Hirl, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of that township. The cause of death was due to dropsy superinduced by kidney troubles.
Her trouble has been of long duration and she has suffered a great deal. Still, through it all she has been patient and uncomplaining.

Mrs. Hirl was born in County Galway, Ireland, and was 65 years of age. She has lived in this country for a great many years and has lived with her busband on the present farm for the past twenty-five years. She was a hard worker and a great deal of their success in life was due to her constant and unremitting toil. She was a most faithful, loving wife and mother; kind and forbearing she set an example of Christian charity which could not be excelled and there is a wide circle of friends who mourn her death.

While it was hoped that she might recover still there was but little chance owing to the nature of her troubles. The best medical aid obtainable was secured but without avail. Tired nature sought for rest and at last her eyelids were closed in peaceful and eternal sleep.

In addition ot her sorrowing husband the deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William McKinney and three sons, Michael, James and Patrick, all of whom reside in Lincoln township.

The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock at St. Ann’s church at Long Grove. Interment at St. Ann’s cemetery.
