Mrs. Sarah J. Hobart.

Mrs. Sarah J. Hobart died this morning of paralysis at her home in Andalusia. She was one of the pioneers of this community. Her maiden name was Sarah J. Hesser and she was born Oct. 3, 1834, in Ohio. She came to this vicinity when a child and July 20, 1857, was united in marriage with Gilmore Hobart. Of the 12 children born to the couple 11 survive, the husband having passed away nine years ago. The sons are John of Rock Island, Joseph of Davenport, Mrs. Bell Bishop and Mrs. Joseph Dunlap of Andalusia, Mrs. Mary Huson of Drury and Mrs. Elizabeth Wagner of Letts, Iowa. The remains will be interred beside those of her husband in Buffalo Prairie, the date of the funeral being set later.
