LENA M. WIESE, AGED RESIDENT CALLED TO REST

Dies at Home of Daughter Near Eldridge; Was Resident of Davenport.

Mrs. Lena M. Wiese, 62, passed awawy at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph A. Mohr, three and a half miles northeast of Eldridge, at 6 a.m. today. She had been an invalid for the past five years. Until June of this year she mad her home at 1024 West Fourteenth street.

Lena M. Holst was born in Butler township in Iowa Dec. 20, 1865. She received her education in the rural school of Scott county. She was united in marriage to Peter Wiese Feb. 16, 1887, at Davenport. The couple resided on a farm after their marriage until 1920 when they retired and moved to Davenport where they lived until last June.

Surviving are her husband, Peter Weise, two daughters, Mrs. C.C. Kramback, Davenport, and Mrs. Ralph R. Mohr, Eldridge; her aged father, John C. Holst, Davenport; six grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Fred Hebble, Glidden, Ia., and Mrs. Peter Schneckloth, Davenport; and two brothers, George W. and Herman Holst, both of Eldridge. Two sons preceded her in death nine years ago.

The body was removed to the Runge mortuary and will be returned to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Mohr, Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be held from their Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Hill cemetery.
