Walmsley.

Mrs. Esther Walmsley, formerly of Rock Island and Davenport, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at her home on the Walmsley road in Bettendorf. Death terminated an extended illness.

Mrs. Walmsley was born in Manchester, England, Dec. 4, 1858. She came to America in 1882, direct to Rock Island where she was married to Henry Walmsley. After residing in Rock Island for several years the couple came to Davenport and then to Bettendorf. Mrs. Walmsley was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving besides the widower are two sons, James of Rock Island, and David of Davenport; and four sisters and two brothers in England. Three sons preceded her in death.

The body was removed to the McGinnis Funeral Home pending arrangements which will be announced later.
