Miss Mary Smith, 1027 Farnam street, a resident of Davenport for the last 30 years, died at 8 o'clock Sunday morning at Mercy hospital after an illness of eight months' duration.

Miss Smith was born at Long Grove, Ia., June 15, 1862, and was 67 years old the day before her death. When 14 years old she moved with her parents to Stuart, Ia, and 30 years ago came to Davenport, residing here since.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. John Diebold of Stuart, Ia.

The funeral will be held at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday from the Stapleton chapel with services at 8 o'clock at St. Anthony's church. Burial will be made in the Long Grove cemetery.
