W. Belter, Jr., Durant, Dies In Davenport.

Succumbs at St. Luke's Hospital After Two Months' Illness.

William Belter, Jr., a life resident of Durant, Ia., died at 1:25 p.m., Sunday at St. Luke's hospital in Davenport after a two months illness.

Mr. Belter was born Nov. 12, 1894 at Durant. He received his education in the school there and was married to Miss Meta Baidhorn June 14, 1924. He was a member of the Durant American Legion.

Surviving are one daughter, Shirley, 2 1/2, his father, William Belter Sr.; three sisters, Mrs. A.H. Wiebner, Durant; Mrs. H. Hoepner, Davenport; and Mrs. A.L. Struck, Los Angeles.

The body was removed to the Runge mortuary and taken to Durant this morning. Funeral services will be held at the Durant chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with services in charge of Julius Shryer Post of the American Legion. Burial will be made in Durant cemetery.
