F. C. Fahrenkrug Succumbs After 6 Months Illness

This morning at 11:20 o’clock, Frederick C. Fahrenkrug passed away at his home, 416 South Concord street, Davenport, after an illness extending over the past six months.
Deceased was a well-known pioneer business man of Davenport, and was engaged in the painting business for many years, retiring 3_ years ago. He was born in Germany in 1846, and came to America and direct to Davenport when a child.
He was an active member of the Davenport Turner society for 25 years, during which time he was turning-master for a period. He was also a member of the Old Settlers’ association.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Frederick Fahrenkrug, four sons, John F. of Davenport, George W. of Dennison, Ia., Fred C. Jr., of Davenport, and Forrest B. of Davenport, and three daughters, Mrs. C. Jasper of Davenport, Henrietta, at home, and Mrs. L. Hein, at home. There are also 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Frederick Fahrenkrug will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home, 416 South Concord street.
Incineration at the Davenport cremetorium will be private.

Johannes Kroeger officiated at the funeral services for Frederick Fahrenkrug, held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home, 416 South Concord street. Interment was made in Fairmount cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Fahrenkurg, George W. Fahrenkrug, F. C. Fahrenkrug, Jr., C. N. Jasper, H. Jasper and L. Hein.
