JOSEPH STECHER.

Funeral services are pending at the Runge mortuary for Joseph Stecher, 87, of 329 E. 11th st. Davenport, who died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy hospital.

Mr. Stecher was born Aug. 20, 1886. He worked as a farm hand in Dubuque county for 20 years. He married Cora Scott Aug. 8, 1919, in Stillwater, Minn., and later worked for the Davenport park board until his retirement in 1949. He was of Catholic faith.

A brother, John, of Dubuque, survives.
