Charles James Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hart, 1228 Esplanade avenue, died Wednesday afternoon at 2:45 after an illness of two days' duration. He was 27 years of age.

He was born on Nov. 3, 1900 at Davenport and lived here all his life. He attended Sacred Heart school and St. Ambrose college. For the past two years he was engaged in civil service work for the United States government.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hart; one brother, Raymond, and one sister, Mrs. Harold Cinadr, all of Davenport.

The body was removed to the Fred N. Ruhl funeral home and will be taken to the family home late today. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:30 from the home with services at the Sacred Heart Cathedral at 9 o'clock. Interment will be at St. Marguerite's cemetery.
