Thomas H. Harrington, for 15 years foreman of the paint department at the Rock Island Arsenal, died at 6:10 o'clock last night at the home of his brother, W.H. Harrington, 2415 Farnam street, after a lingering illness. He was 51 years old.

Born Dec. 6, 1872, Mr. Harrington lived all his life in Davenport. He was educated at the Sacred Heart Cathedral school and in the public schools of the city. Due to his genial disposition he was known by thousands of Davenporters.

Mr. Harrington was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Homesteaders. Surviving are three brothers, William, Joseph and Michael, of Davenport, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Doyle of Rock Island and Mrs. Harry Berg of Davenport.

The body was removed to the Fred N. Ruhl Funeral Home and will be taken to the home of his brother this evening. The funeral will be held from the home of the brother at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon with services at 3:30 at the church of St. Paul the Apostle. Interment will be made at St. Marguerite's cemetery.
