Mrs. Helen Margaret Galloway, 2700 18 avenue Rock Island, daughter of the late Louis Carstens, died at a local hospital this morning at 1:30 o'clock after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Galloway was born in Davenport on June 28, 1895, and was educated in the public schools and the Immaculate Conception academy of this city. She was united in marriage to R.L. Galloway on June 1, 1915. Previous to the illness which caused her death she had been living in Spokane, Wash. The deceased was a member of St. Joseph's church of Rock Island.

One brother Louis Carstens of Rock Island and two sisters, Mrs. Lucile Stein of Minneapolis and Marie Carstens survive her.

The body was taken to the Horrigan and Sons funeral parlors pending funeral arrangements.
