OBITUARY.

DeValley.

At Mercy hospital at 11:30 o'clock Friday night occurred the death of Mrs. Mary DeValley, a long time resident of this city. The immediate cause of death was an attack of la grippe. Owing to her advanced years her constitution was unable to withstand the ravages of the disease.

Mrs. DeValley was born in County Galway, Ireland and she was 68 years of age. She came to this city about thirty years ago and lived for a number of years on west Third street before removing to the hospital where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a thorough Christian lady, was kind of heart and all who knew her loved her. She was taken with la grippe about a week before she died, and though everything that could be done was done for her no relief was afforded.

The remains were taken to the home of Mrs. Martin Ford, a daughter of the deceased, residing at 1219 west Locust street. Deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Mary Woodrington, Mrs. Burke of this city, John DeValley of Falls River, Mass., and Patrick DeValley of De Witt, Ia.

The funeral will be held from the residence of Mrs. Ford Monday morning with services at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock. Interment at St. Mary's cemetery.
