OBITUARY.

LAVERY.

Yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at his residence, 1317 West Sixth street, occurred the death of Mr. William Lavery, aged 54 years. Last winter Mr. Lavery was taken up with a very severe cold which settled on his lungs and which with other complications left him in a very weakened condition and from which he could not recover.

Mr. Lavery was born in Rosmillen, county Down, Ireland, and came to this country when but a young lad. He has lived in Davenport for a long time and had a large circle of friends. He was in the employ of Mr. Boies in the undertaking business for some time and finally went into business for himself.

The funeral will take place Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
