OBITUARY.

SIEMSEN.

At the home of his son, Fritz Siemsen, in Park Lawn, Saturday morning at 1 o'clock, occurred the death of Peter Siemsen, an old resident of this city, at the advanced age of 85 years. The cause of death was resultant upon complications attending an extreme old age.

Deceased was born in the Island of Fehmarn, a part of the kingdom of Holstein, in 1810, and came to this county twenty-two years ago, where he has since resided. He is survived by five children, Fritz and Peter in Davenport, John in California, Henry in Milan, Ill., and Mrs. J. Stender of this city. His aged wife also is left to mourn his loss. Ten years ago the old couple celebrated the golden jubilee of their wedding.

The funeral will take place this Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence, with interment at the West Davenport cemetery.
