OBITUARY.

ZEMAN.

At 3 o'clock this morning at the residence, 104 West Locust street, occurred the death of John G. Zeman, after a lingering illness. Mr. Zeman was born in Bohemia, Germany, thirty-eight years ago, but has been a resident of this city for the past thirty-two years. He was for years a faithful and efficient motorman in the employ of the Davenport and Rock Island street railway company but for some months past was unable to be at his post, being confined to his bed. He leaves a wife and four children, the oldest a boy 11 years old, and the youngest a boy of 5 years. The father of the deceased survives and two brothers, Anthony, who is a shoemaker, and Frank, a motorman.

The funeral will take place Thursday morning, with services at Sacred Heart cathedral at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Marguerite's cemetery.
