OBITUARY.

KANE.

News was received Monday of the death of Mrs. Kate Kane, nee Molyneaux, at Muscatine. Mrs. Kane was only 27 years of age, making her death an untimely one and therefore all the more deplorable. Mrs. Kane was the sister of Rev. D.J. Molyneaux, assistant pastor of Sacred Heart cathedral in this city. He was summoned last week to Muscatine by her illness, and remained with her till the end.

The remains will arrive in Davenport tonight at 10:30 and will be taken to the residence of Mrs. Kane's mother, Mrs. Molyneaux, at 839 East Fifteenth street. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, with services at Sacred Heart cathedral.
