FATTY HEART THE CAUSE OF MRS. TANK'S DEATH.

Well Known Lady Found Dead in Bed Yesterday--Autopsy Held.

Mrs. Katharine Tank of 1914 Eddy street was found dead in bed yesterday morning at about 8 o'clock. Coroner Fred Lambach was notified. The latter repaired to the Tank home immediately, but after consulting with the neighbors and making a thorough investigation of the case, decided that an inquest was not necessary. The coroner held an autopsy, however, finding that the death of Mrs. Tank was due to gastritis and fatty heart.

The deceased had been ill for some little time past, but her death, nevertheless, was very sudden and unexpected. Mrs. Tank awoke at about the usual time yesterday morning, but not feeling well, she went to bed again, after drinking a cup of coffee. Two hours later she was found dead in bed.

The maiden name of the deceased was Miss Katharine Lorenzen. She had been married twice, one to a Mr. Tank and once to a Mr. Fick. She secured a divorce from the latter and was known by the name of her first husband.

Mrs. Tank is survived by two brothers. Andrew and John Lorenzen, both of who reside in this city.

She had been the wife of Henry Tank, the brick work contractor who passed away at Mercy hospital recently as the result of drink The couple had no children. Mrs. Tank leaves considerably property, part of which is said to have come to her as a result of an arrangement with Mrs. Ricka Sevil, a 70-year-old woman formerly living at Valley City. Mrs. Sevil says she turned over her property and money to Mrs. Tank on the condition the latter would provide her a good home the remainder of her life. Mrs. Sevil fears she may be minus her home as well as the possessions with which she so recently parted. Lawyers say, however, that the old lady can get her support out of the estate if she can show that her statements regarding her bargain with Mrs. Tank are true.
