OBITUARY.

SWINDELL.

Robert John Swindell died Thursday afternoon at his home, 114 Iowa street, from the effects of a cold contracted about a week aog. He had been in delicate health for some time.

Mr. Swindell was born in Ireland in 1812 and settled in New Orleans in 1842. He came to Davenport in 1850 and has lived here since.

Mr. Swindell is survived by his wife and two sons, Robert. F., and John W., both living in this city. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock this morning from the residence, with services at St. Anthony's church.
