Mrs. Rebecca Curtis died at 11:50 Sunday night. She had been in ill health for some time, and the direct cause of death was bronchitis.
The deceased was the wife of Mr. Abram Curtis by whom she is survived, and was born in Washington county, N.Y., April 1, 1819. Forty-seven years ago the family resided at Donahue, where Mr. Curtis had been engaged in farming. Since retiring at that time the family has lived in Davenport. Besides the husband, three children also survive--Mrs. Dr. J.R. Dosh, of Stuart, George of Long Grove and Anna at home. The deceased had been a communicant of the Methodist church, and the funeral rites will be conducted in accordance with the ritual of that denomination. Rev. J.S. McCord will officiate at the services, which will be held at the house, 509 Oneida avenue, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains will be interred in Oakdale.
