Obituary.

Gallagher.

At Allen's Grove Sunday evening at 8 p.m. occurred the death of Edward Gallagher an esteemed farmer of the county. Mr. Gallagher was ailing for about four years with spinal disease, and for the past year and a half was not able to be out of the house. His many friends in Davenport and the county at large will join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives.

Edward Gallagher was born in Scott county on July 27, 1851, and therefore had just lacked a few hours of completing his 45th year. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Gallagher, and five children, also his mother, Mrs. Anna Gallagher and sister Mrs. Silas Crisp, to mourn his untimely loss.

The funeral takes place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, with interment in Allen's Grove cemetery.
