Obituary

DONALDSON.

Mrs. Rachael Donaldson, wife of Mr. Adam Donaldson, died on Sunday afternoon, at her late residence, 1522 Brady street, aged eighty-four years. She leaves a husband who is eighty-four years of age, five sons and and one daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Donaldson came to this country in 1837, settling in Pleasant Valley, where they resided until four years ago when they came to Davenport to live.

They resided continuously on one farm for forty-eight years. They were well known to the old settlers of the county, and celebrated sixty-fifth anniversary of their marriage last February. Funeral services will be held at the residence of her son, Garrett Donaldson, in Pleasant Valley this afternoon. The cortege will leave the Brady street residence at 10 o'clock this morning, and friends of the family who wish to attend will find carriages at the house.
