Obituary

Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. B.S. Hall, 622 Main street, occurred the death of Mrs. Margaret Ebeling, having for two months suffered from dropsy. Mrs. Ebeling was the widow of Adam Ebeling, and was well known in Scott county. Deceased was born on March 12, 1812, and was therefore 80 years and eleven months of age at the time of her death. In 1857 she moved to Muscatine county, and in 1884 she came to Davenport, and has resided here since with her son-in-law. She leaves three children to mourn her loss, Mrs. B.S. Hall, Mrs. Chas. Gartland, and Jacob Ebeling. The funeral services were held at 622 Main street Monday afternoon at 4 p.m., the Rev. Dr. McCord officiating, and Tuesday morning the remains were taken to Muscatine for interment.
