Obituary
LAMBERT.
John Lambert, an old resident of Scott county, died Monday at Okanne, Neb., at the residence of his daughter Mrs. H.B. Fennimore. Mr. Lambert went to Nebraska last June to get relief from the effects of an attack of the grip. He had been growing worse for the last two weeks.
Mr. Lambert was born in Burlington, N.J., in 1814 and settled in Scott county in 1844. He engaged in farming from which he retired and moved to this city about 8 years ago. He was a member of the Old Settlers society and also for the Davenport Fair and Exposition. He is survived by his second wife and a son--Leander of this city and four daughters-- Mrs. H.B. Fennimore, Mrs. A.E. Campbell and Mrs. Isaac Kinyon of Oakanne, Neb. and Mrs. Henry Ade of this county. The remains will be brought to this city for burial reaching here tomorrow morning. The funeral will be held from the family residence 1023 Charlotte avenue.
