Obituary

THOMPSON.

Miss Blanche Thompson, whose serious illness from diphtheria was noticed in yesterday's TRIBUNE, died suddenly yesterday morning at 8 o'clock. Miss Thompson, with her mother, who is a sister of C.N. Newcomb, has resided in Davenport about a year, during which she has made many friends. Her death is a sad blow to her mother. She was 17 years old. Owing to the nature of the disease an immediate burial was necessary, and the funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
