Obituary

Cosgrove.

Mrs. Mary Ann Cosgrove died at Mercy hospital at 1:20 this morning after an extended illness, she was confined to her bed but one day.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. Jan. 1, 1858, her maiden name being Welch, came to Davenport as a child, and was married to John T. Cosgrove at St. Marguerite's church by Rev. Henry Cosgrove, late bishop of Davenport, June 21, 1880, her husband preceding her in death two years ago.

Mrs. Cosgrove was an active member of Sacred Heart cathedral practically all her life, and a member of the Altar and Rosary society and the Purgatorial society of this parish.

Surviving are two sons John A. and Henry J. Cosgrove of Davenport, three daughters, Mrs. George C. Nill of Fort Wayne, Ind., Mrs. J.A. Logan and Mrs. Harry Brondell, both of Davenport, three cousins John, Theresa, and Ellen Kennedy of Davenport, and nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the home of her daughter. Mrs. J.A. Logan, 1317 West Fifteenth street, at 8:30 with services at Sacred Heart cathedral at o'clock. Interment will be in St. Marguerite's cemetery.
