Obituary

Steinberg.

Miss Wilhelmina Sternberg, 78, a member of the the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church since its founding 51 years ago, active in the Ladies' Aid society of that institution, and resident of Davenport for 65 years, died at 1 o'clock this morning in a local hospital after an illness of one week's duration. She was never married.

She was born in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, German, June 18, 1840, and came direct to Davenport from this old country 65 years ago. Surviving are her one niece, Mrs. Bertha Brehmer of Davenport.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Henry Runge's Sons parlors with services at 2:30 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church. Interment will be in Fairmount Lutheran church.

The Sternberg Funeral.

The funeral of Miss Wilhelmina Sternberg was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Henry Runge's Sons parlors to Trinity Lutheran church at 3:30. Rev. Herman Harms officiated at the parlors and church, and Rev. H Niemand conducted the service at the grave in Fairmount cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Ihlefeld, E. Gruenhagen, Rhinehard Tomm, Fred Eickstadt, Fred Grueber, and H.W. Wagner.
