Clausen Dies; Case Board Ex-President

Leon R. Clausen, 87, retired president and chairman of the board of J.I. Case Co., died Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Beaver Dam, Wis. Services were Monday in Beaver Dan and burial was in Fox Lake, Wis. Mr. Clausen became president of J.I. Case Co. in 1924 and was elected chairman of the board in 1947. He retired in 1948. Prior to joining the Case Co., he was a member fo the board of directors and vice president in charge of manufacturing for Deere & Co. which he joined in 1912. He married Agnes Snow in 1909 in Mineral Point, Wis., and she died in 1963. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jane Wurster, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Mary Dearholt, Milwaukee, and six grandchildren.
