Obituary

PARKER.

Death sometimes follows itself closely. Only a short time ago our old fellow townsman, J.M. Parker, was hewn down, a week since his son was taken from our midst, now come the intelligence that his wife died in Chicago yesterday. The particulars were not learned. Mrs. Parker left Davenport soon after her husband's death in good health and now to receive this intelligence will be astounding to her friends in this city.
