Obituary

LOWRY.

Yesterday morning a telegram was received in this city announcing the death of Mrs. Robert Lowry in Huron, South Dakota, at 3:30 a.m. This will be sad news to the many friends of the deceased in this city, which was for many years her home.

Mrs. Lowry was born in Oxford, Ohio, 65 years ago. She lived in Davenport for 30 years. She left here with her husband Hon. Robert Lowry, for South Dakota in 18?2, where she has lived ever since. Mrs. Lowry was a life long member of the Methodist church. She made her life a splendid example of what a true Christian should be.

With the sorrowing husband are left five children to mourn her loss. Mrs. Judge Waterman of this city, J.R. Lowry, Chicago, Robert, Jr., Edith and Bessie at home.

The remains will be brought to this city for interment but owing to the uncertainties of the railroad connections it is impossible to state just when the funeral will be held.
