Obituary

JOHN ANDERSON

"Grandpa" John Anderson, well and favorable known in this city, where he had numerous friends, breathed his last early Sunday morning. For some time past he had been suffering with pneumonia, and the disease caused his death as stated. He was an old resident here, where he had lives since 1853, when he came here from his birthplace in Sweden. He was born in Starks, Sweden, in 1816, and was consequently nearly sixty-six years of age. During the entire time of his residence here he has constantly gained friends, and his never failing goodness of heart and nature won him the esteem of all, and his death will strike home to many a family in this city.

The deceased leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss, the surviving children being Mrs. Ann C. Evans and Mr. Andrew Anderson, the grocer, both of whom reside here.
