Company Retiree Howard “Brick” Smith died on Saturday
Howard “Brick” Smith, 87, of White Bear Lake, Minn., a Maytag Company retiree, died of a heart attack Saturday at St. John’s Hospital, Maplewood, Minn.

Joining Maytag in 1933, Smith worked in supply the majority of his career. He retired in 1968 with 34.2 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Icle; as son, Ronald, of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Joann Benson, of White Bear Lake; and a sister, Mildred Kahl, of Davenport. ~ The Maytag Bulletin May 1992.
