Mildred M. DeKalb

Mildred M. DeKalb, 90, of Davenport, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, at Crest Health Care Center in Davenport.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Davenport with the Rev. Sue Howes and the Rev. Lola Rosenberger officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Davenport. Family visitation will be at the church from 10:30 until the service begins. A memorial has been established to the Folwell Fund at the church. McGinnis Funeral Home in Bettendorf is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. DeKalb was born April 2, 1901, in Libertyville, the daughter of Jacob and Emma Strongquist Stever. She married Leo DeKalb Aug. 28, 1923, in Fairfield, where she lived from 1910 until 1947. He died Dec. 29, 1989. She had worked as retoucher and tinter at Browning Photo Studio in Fairfield and was former member of the women's Lions Club in Fairfield.

Surviving are a daughter, Rosal(yn) DeKalb of Chicago; three sons, Edward of Ames, James of Davenport, Noel of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchildren and five great-grandsons. Twelve brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

**One sister, Mabel Ruth Elizabeth Stever married Emmett Ray Rodibaugh. I research the RODABAUGH/RODIBAUGH lineage.**
