DAVENPORT - Funeral services and Mass of the Resurrection for Marilyn J. Kosgard, 58, a resident of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with a prayer service offered at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Kosgard died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center-North Campus, Davenport, following a battle with emphysema.

Marilyn Jean Campbell was born Dec. 22, 1943 in Richland Center, Wis., a daughter of William and Letha (Banker) Campbell. She married John L. "Jack" Kosgard on Aug. 18, 1962, in Loves Park, Ill.

Marilyn graduated from Harlem High School, Loves Park, Ill., class of 1962.

She was employed in earlier years for National City Lines, Davenport, and Star Forms Inc. and then, most recently, Brenton Bank. She had been involved in accounting and bookkeeping during all her employment years.

She was an Auxiliary member of the Bettendorf VFW Post 9128.

Family was so important to Marilyn, especially the time she spent with her granddaughters, whom she lived for.

Memorials can be made to Genesis Foundation, care of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Shelly Kosgard, Appleton, Wis., and Dan and Karen Kosgard, Bettendorf; her three granddaughters, Hannah and Sydney Kosgard, Appleton, and Stephanie Kosgard, Bettendorf; parents, Letha and Walter Simpson, Richland, Wis., sisters, Mary Lou Gano, Elkhorn, Neb., Karen Vernon, Albuquerque, N.M.., and Judy (Mrs. Rick) Peterson, Rockford, Ill., and a brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Ann Simpson, Davenport.

Her father, Wiliam Campbell, preceded her in death.
