Fred Cain Sr.
DAVENPORT --- Fred E. Cain Sr., 69, of 807 W. 2nd St., died Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport, after an extended illness.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, where military services will be conducted.

Visitation will be 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

He worked 10 years at Red Jacket Pump Co., Davenport, retiring in 1983.

Mr. Cain married Mary F. Reedy in 1945 in Alexandria Va. She died in 1970. He later married Betty Jo Cain in 1983 in Davenport.

Membership include American Legion Post 3, Ottumwa.

During World War II, he served in the Army.

Survivors include a son, Fred Jr., and brothers, Robert Jr. and Holmer, both of Independence, Iowa.
