Glenda Christner

DAVENPORT - Glenda M. Christner, 73, of Davenport, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Trinity at Terrace Park in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.

Glenda was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Wapello, Iowa, to John and Anna (Harvey) Hake. She was a loving homemaker.

She married Homer Christner on April 11, 1962, in Morrison, Ill.

In addition to her husband, Glenda is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, George and Shirley, Florida, Glenn and Mary, Florida, Tom and Denise, Davenport, Sam and Mona, Davenport, and Raymond "Buck" Christner, Davenport; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Schneckloth, Amy and William Lackey, Laura and Terry Slyter and Annie Thomas, all of Davenport; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers and sister-in-law, Edward and Maxine Hake, Muscatine, Iowa, and John and Cathy Hake, Florida, She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John, grandson, Howard, and brother, Jack.
