Lorene D. Genz, age 86, of East Moline, Illinois died Wednesday, February 4, 1987 at Illinois hospital, Silvis, Illinois. Funeral services were held Saturday February 7 at 1:30 p.m. at McGinnis Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa with burial in Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire, Iowa.

She was born Lorene Chandler April 18, 1900 in Princeton, Iowa. In 1919 she married Clarence Leight in Princeton. He died in 1947. She married Herbert Genz in 1952 in Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed music, crafts, and bingo.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Genz; 2 daughters, Aldine Leight Jones and Linda Leight Mosher, both of LeClaire, Iowa; 2 sons, Keith Leight of Moline, Illinois and Don Leight of LeClaire, Iowa; 2 step-daughters, Evelyn Genz Balichek of Oxford Junction, and Bernice Genz Yeoman of Rock Island, Illinois; 2 step-sons, Wayne Genz of Waukon, Iowa and Roland Genz of LeClaire, Iowa; 35 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Neuhaus.
