Davenport Democrat, thursday, 21 Jun 1892, p. 1: The death of Mrs. (Mary Keating) James McMahon occurred yesterday at her home on west Fifth Street. Mrs. McMahon has been a resident of Iowa since 1857, and much of that time, at least, a resident of Davenport. She was 53 years of age, and was born in County Clare, Ireland. She was a mother of a very large family. Ten children are left with her husband to mourn her loss, and four children are dead. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's church. (died of anemia) She was originally buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in 1892; she was reburied in Holy Family Cemetery in 1901.
