Services for Bob C. Gilbert, 64, of 229 Cody Road, LeClaire, will be 1pm Saturday at McGinnis Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Cemetery, LeClaire, where LeClaire American Legion Post will conduct services. Visitation is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm today.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Fund.
Mr. Gilbert died Wednesday at his home after a lengthy illness.
He married Lorena Hines in 1939 in Bettendorf.
He was a construction worker (unreadable). He was a past commander of LeClaire American Legion Post 337 and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Mrs. Donald (Anna) Morrow, Moline; Mrs. Bill (Sandy) Hyle, LeClaire, and Mrs. Jerry (Sharon) Kingery, Bettendorf; a son, Bill, LeClaire; six grandchildren and a sister Verna McDonald, Wheatland, Iowa.
