Mrs. Alfred Wells
Services for Mrs. Alfred J. Wells, 70, Peru, Ill, formerly of LeClaire, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Elias Funeral Chapel, Peru.
Additional services will be 3 pm Wednesday in Assembly of God Church, LeClaire. Burial will be in LeClaire City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 pm today and 9am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the building fund at Faith Assembly of God Church, Peru, where her husband is pastor.
Mrs. Wells died Saturday in St. Mary's Hospital, LaSalle, Ill, after an extended illness.
Mable Marie Gilbert was born in LeClaire. She married the Rev. Alfred J. Wells in 1919 in LeClaire.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband; daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Audrey) Jordon, Albany, Ill; Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Stewart, Rapid City, and Mrs. L.C. (Veva) Wade, Industry, Ill; a son, Alfred L., Kissimmee, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Grace Gilbert, LeClaire; six sisters and two brothers.
