Page 5Sunday morning at 1:30 o'clock occurred the death of Samuel W. Greenwell at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. B. Coons, 1805 West Second street, the cause of death being heart trouble. Deceased was born July 28, 1825, in Durham, England and came to America when 25 years of age. He was an old and respected citizen being 75 years, 5 months and 9 days of age at the time of his death.
Mr. Greenwell was a boiler maker by trade, carrying on the business for 45 years but retiring about 10 years ago on account of ill health. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, one son and four daughters, Mrs. Frances Coons of this city, Mrs. H. G. Baker of Rock Island, Mrs. John Davidson and Mrs. Albert Eiermann both of Chicago and J. H. Greenwell of Tyrone, Ken. The funeral will be held from the above residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with interment at the Cippiannock cemetery in Rock Island.
